Here at WARDEN Studio, we know that your ear protection has to hold up to extreme use, and so our cables have been designed to excel in those exact conditions. WARDEN 3.5MM cables are custom designed and manufactured for these rugged use cases in harsh environments. The cables start with a Kevlar reinforced core - several strands of Kevlar (also called Aramid) are used to anchor each connector and provide impressive pull strength. This pull strength is critical for maintaining the integrity of the connections if you accidentally drop your headset or phone while the cable is connected. In addition to the improved core strength, the cables are covered in an extra thick 0.157” TPU jacket, providing extra durability against cuts and nicks while still remaining flexible in cold environments. WARDEN Studio had these cables custom manufactured because we knew that they had to stand up to usage that would destroy any other commercially available cable. As such, they are far more durable than any off-the-shelf 3.5MM extension cables we could find, and can be used not only for your headset, but also in any situation where you need a 3.5MM male-to-male extension cable.

Absolutely! Any standard 3.5MM to USB-C cable can connect your headset to your devices. Can I use an off-the-shelf 3.5MM to TP120 cable to connect from my PTT to my converted headset?
A: Probably not. Such a cable does not exist from a reputable source, so we highly recommend that if you want to connect to a PTT and radio, you use the WARDEN 3.5MM-NEXUS cable. This cable adapts the 3.5MM headset connection to a NATO-wired TP120 style connector, which plugs into all U94 style PTTs on the market. Check out the WARDEN TP120 cable here.
Why should I buy a WARDEN Studio cable for my phone?
A: While you can use any off-the-shelf 3.5MM cable, WARDEN cables offer a few advantages. They are custom manufactured with thick TPU jackets that do not degrade under intense outdoor UV light and remain flexible in cold temperatures. The cables are reinforced with Kevlar strands to give them superior strength and durability if the cable gets snagged or you drop your headset with the cable connected to it. Absolutely! You can use this cable with an adaptor dongle, and it will function just like any other set of headphones or earbuds you normally connect to your phone. To minimize the number of connections, we also offer a USB-C to 3.5MM cable as well.
Can I connect my new retrofitted headset to my phone and use Zello or other PTT apps?
A: Absolutely! This was a core use case that the retrofit was designed around. The microphone was specifically chosen for seamless integration with your smartphone and will work great for app-based phone communications.
